Ah yes, this is the mix found on the 1996 and 2000 Japanese editions of Agharta. Apparently this mix was used for the first pressings of the 1976 Dutch LP editions as well.
Just to clarify - the first part (approx 21 minutes) is unofficially known as "Tatu" (using Enrico Merlin's system of naming the riffs/grooves after the medleys in which they were debuted).
The second part has two(-and-a-half) titles - if you let Laswell be your guide then it's actually called "Agharta", but since the On The Corner Box Set it's been officially known as "Turnaround" (though there's some doubt as to what that title actually denotes).
I recommend the old Sony Master Sound CD as best way to acquire the Agharta album because (so far as I know) none of the other editions contain the last eight minutes of the concert, where it's just Cosey on synth with the percussion section.
Me and my younger brother doc when we first heard this prompted him to coin this phrase. Quote miles got them young boys Freight training end of quote.
Thank you Open Space. Yes, I've heard the 2006 CD and I have the original 1975 Japanese LP. They both, with that mix that you speak of, it's even clearer but with alot of reverb. Is this a European LP pressing? It sounds different than my Japanese LP and in some ways less overwhelming, I'd love to find that one. Thanks again.
Damn I would have loved to have been in on This Jam session Rockin it out with The late Great Mr Miles Davis.Because He was just too Damn much on This particular piece right here.He was most definitely on The Jazz
