Yeah. Get your hands on a copy of "Drenched" and you'll forget all about those superficial REM comparisons. :-) Really good band; unfairly overlooked and sorely underrated.

sure, it's very REMish...but it was the mid 80's...and they're a New Haven band!

The EP version!! I was a freshman at Yale in spring of '84 when this came out. They played several free gigs on campus that spring and several more (not free) over the next few years in the dining halls and local clubs.

They were always a favorite on KSCU and KSJS back in the 80s. Miss those days...and the band. Thanks for posting.

The second verse, especially the lines "Yesterday we cut down the apple tree/Cracking wood made my little heart tremble" mean a lot to me. My parents have an apple tree in their backyard and this song reminds me of when I still lived there. Although it was only 5 years I lived there and I was already in college when we moved there, the memories are countless. Sometimes when I visit on a Saturday evening after Church, I pick apples off of the tree to bring home and eat. Every time I have one or see the tree, I think of this song. Brings tears of happiness to my eyes. Excellent song; I am glad I discovered it! Great band, too.

This is one of the best guitar hooks of that era. To hear it once is to take it with you always. Thank you Miracle Legion!

I feel the same. I met someone who feels like she's always been with me like that in spirit though.

I loved this song so much in my 20s. It appeared in my dream last night and made me so happy to hear it. I woke up singing it.

I saw this played live by Polaris on Saturday in a barn. It was so fun. Really makes me miss the happier times of Pete and Pete.
