"Aerith Is Gone"
" Aerith will no longer talk, no longer laugh... cry... or get angry "
"What about us... what are we supposed to do?"
"What about my pain?"
" My finger are tingling, my mouth is dry, my eyes are burning "
While the inevitable with Aerith is certainly an emotionally heart-wrenching moment, the reason this song always got to me was that part when Barrett reunites with Marlene at Aerith's house. Without fail, every time I get to that part in the game I just start bawling because it's just such an emotionally fulfilling moment, for a man who who thought he'd lost everything, to be reunited with the person that means more to him than the world itself.
Side effects to this song may include; nostalgic memories and tearyness. We're all gonna be a blubbering mess at the end of this trip again. guaranteed.
