how cool is this video? ofra looks like a model and sings like an angel. the band is superb with an almost--disco/techno sound, the guitarist is doing jazz licks and the guests and hosts of the show are singing along. there are days when all the stars and planets line up right. this must have been one of those days.

I don't know what you mean. Ofra's "downfall" was that she was pressured by members of her family as she approached 40, and by her own desire for children, into getting married. Sadly she picked the wrong man. He was her 'downfall',either by allegedly infecting her with HIV or arranging the quack treatment that killed her. There are, undoubtedly, a few thousand (or million) men in this world who would have given everything for a chance to be this lovely woman's husband.

She does, actually, when you listen to the two of them back to back. More power, greater range, more sustaining. more expressive and with total precision. But you have to know Ofra better then to listen to only this, one of only four 'mainstream' songs that she covered. Ofra always made it sound light and easy, effortless, even when the sound that she was making would blow your socks off!!!
