memories of my late parents,, they both used to sing this song, and many more like it. my mother used to sing in clubs, and loved doing the classic ballads.dad was always singing around the house. as the lyric in this song says. the book of life is brief.now im in my 60s it sure rings true.
47 years ago I lost the love of my life through stupidity on my part. I spent those 47 years as a lonely man carrying a torch for her. Through Facebook and the grace of God, we recently reconnected. I no longer know what loneliness is. We picked up where we left off....... we're engaged.
I lost the love of my life 54 Years ago whilst serving in the Royal Navy. Unfortunately, I was drafted to Gibraltar, and I lost her to another Man. But I never ever forgot her, then or now. I was lucky to have found her, and tomorrow it’s her Birthday, and we are getting engaged. Next August we marry. She is 72 and I Will be 76 then. Don’t ever give up, and you are NEVER too old to find love and enjoy a good relationship as indeed we do. If you still love someone, go and find them, and just tell them you love them. Don’t live a miserable life on your own. Xx
My father loved this song... my mother left him and me when I was 2 years old... he never got over her... I am 55 years old now and see how much he loved her even though she hurt him... last year I discovered he was not my biological father.... he was a kind gentle soul
This is the story of my life. Forty one years ago I found the love of my life, and my wife has filled the loneliness that I once had in my youth. Yes I do know how lonely life can be. And now that she is around me, I have not known loneliness. I know I have been loved unconditionally because of the many things she says and does. And to the love of my life...And I Love You So... Priceless!
Perry Como's wife, Roselle, died in August 1998, less than two weeks after they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. At a charity event weeks later, Como dedicated this hit song "And I Love You So" to her. 3 years later (2001), he re-united with his beloved wife. They now rest beneath twin headstones in the shadows of the oaks and the pines at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta, Florida.
Peace to both of you.
