I love this song - it reminds me of my father - when i was a child my father use to sing this son and he sounded just like Rex Allen when he sang it. God Bless My Beloved Departed Daddy.

Hi You Tube ??? What is WRONG ??? You keep showing Rex Allen songs over and over again. But what about showing some old Republic movies about Rex Allen, Monte Hale, Bill Elliott, Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Rocky Lane, or RKO's Tim Hold... or even Randolph Scott... just when I want to relax my nerves...?

What a terrific little, whimsical song. This song was featured on the defunct Disneyland America Sings ride from many years ago. It was originally sung by an animal that sounded just like Rex Allen but in the world we have turned into nowadays it was not ethnically acceptable and Disney changed the character and had another voice to it, with no Hispanic accent. Everyone has gotten so bent out of shape and upset over some of the most simplest of things. Where have we moved to? This song isn't supposed to be a knock on Hispanic men.
