Johnny Rivers would use the guitar riff on his version of "Memphis" and the Blues Magoos would use the bass riff for "We Ain't Got Nothin' Yet". However, all artists wound up "borrowing" from each other.

Вступление из Ricky Nelson - Summertime, ритм из Canned Heat - On The Road Again и получилась одна из лучших песен рока Black Night

I love Deep Purple, but beginning of this song, To Me, it does sound like Black Knight.

Richie Blackmore said if you aren't a genius you have to steal your ideas from a genius. And he is right. (not that Richie Blackmore is not a genius, cause he is.)

This riff was first nicked by the Blues Magoos for "We Ain't Got Nothing Yet", and later by Deep Purple for "Black Night".

I was watching a documentary on British heavy metal (title: Heavy Metal Britannia) and in it Jon Lord of Deep Purple admitted they got the Black Knight riff from this. What a bassline!
