I'm glad they finally found the entire songs that the previous snippets were made from. Good find, and thanks a million for uploading these.

Wonderful! Thanks for posting. It was great to see Scott LaFaro in action. It is amazing what he accomplished in just 25 years on this earth and just six on bass!

Great band, the solos way too short. Stan Levey -Mr.Time. Scott LaFaro - pre Bill Evans, really swinging. Vic Feldman - the best jazzman to come out of Britain and one of the best period.

i've just been listenning to the 3cd village vanguard sessions from 1961 where scott lafaro has dizzyingly ecstatic extended solos-& now to see him for a few brief moments in action, what a gift!!! he's too good!

Swingin'! I love the way Scotty 'leans' into his bass as he's feeling the groove-and dig the Mingus influence!. What I would have given to have caught him live..

Bad audio but a great video anyway. (On the studio recordings LaFaro's bass has stunning depth, clarity and presence thanks to Roy DuNann's engineering.) Here's an example of why the frequent dismissal of W. Coast jazz as wimpy and "white" was unfair. (Paul Desmond and Bird loved each other's playing and said so!) Rosolino was jazz' most tragic story, Kamuca was largely overlooked, and multi-talented Brit Victor Feldman, declined both Miles' and Cannonball's offers to follow them on the road.
