I ABSOLUTELY get the impression this song is all about the alternative story of "the Watchers" (the Grigori) presented by the Hebrew BOOK OF JUBILEES.
In the apocryphal BOOK OF ENOCH ("ENOCH"), the Watchers/Grigori are introduced as a kind of Angels who descended from Heaven to Mount Hermon, with the purpose of mating with Female Humans (Genesis 6 refers to them as "The Sons of Elohim", which "took wives among the Daughters of Men"). Then, they proceeded to have sex with human females: from their union, a race of brutal, bloodthirsty Giants was born, known as the NEPHILIM.
However, BOOK OF JUBILESS presents an alternative point of view. While in Enoch, Angels were conceived as fleshy divine beings, in JUBILESS they are now strictly Spiritual, Ethereal beings (hence, incapable of having sex with physical bodies). But in this book, these Watchers equally lusted after the beauty of human females.... so in the lack of a body, they proceeded to "channel" their lustful thoughts through the minds of chosen, fleshy men.

However, the aforementioned "Testament" presents an alternative point of view. On it, the Watchers, sent by God to teach Humanity knowledge required for working and living, equally lusted after the beauty of human females.... so then, they proceeded to "change their shapes" into those of Human Males, mimicking the appearance of the hubands of the women they desired. History continues as we know it (Nephilim sons, the Great Deluge....)
