This machine creates, fast and furious we re riding with serpent speed
this organism rips us apart
we are condemned where we stand
it feasts on us song of the damned
song of the damned
We are condemned where we stand, song of the damned
so don t pretend
for we ve seen it all
where we stand
Diamond overload, drenched in fear by struck of lightning
so don t pretend
Where we stand, so why are we trusting those cynical souls
We are condemned where we stand, song of the damned, this machine creates
Diamond overload, open wide all so cold
Song of the damned, it feasts on us song of the damned, forcing ourselves to overcome this mystery
diamond overload
so why are we trusting those cynical souls
It feasts on us song of the damned, aching-bleeding the, we are condemned where we stand
Song of the damned, diamond overload Soilwork, so why are we trusting those cynical souls
so don t pretend
lead wichers
fast and furious we re riding with serpent speed
It feasts on us song of the damned, live for the moment get killed for the thrill Soilwork, where we stand
So don t pretend, so don t pretend the, where we stand
We are condemned where we stand, live for the moment get killed for the thrill
Open wide all so cold, song of the damned Soilwork, so don t pretend
so why are we trusting those cynical souls
I love Soilwork and their music. This song reminds me of a Metal Lullaby lmao. Don't ask why becuase I have no clue, but the keyboard/guitar mix in made me sleepy at the beginning XD
This song is ftw and deserved to be treated as epic gutiar/vocalness score =D
"Cause we're only listening with one ear now" - A metaphor for life. Listening with one ear symbolises living "half heartedly" or on the edge.
"Live for the moment, get killed for the thrill." This is saying how people must live life for what it is and not do anything stupid.
Also if you knew even one bit about the song you knew that this song is a tribute to all Soilwork fans out there
Don't believe me? Why don't you ask Soilwork personally
I remember during my middle school years I had posted on the newgrounds forum that one of my favorite metal songs was Linkin Park - In the End. Then someone replied, surprisingly not judging me too hard on my choice, with this song saying "you need to listen to this song". I was blown away when I heard this. I had much to learn. This song has had such a huge influence on what kind of music is out there when I was growing up.
