First time I heard this ("The Slide Guitar: Bottles, Knives and Steel") my jaw hit the floor, what raw energy, no production BS, no electronic effects, no stunning studio overdubs...just a man and his guitar, with a slide! Rest of the songs are great too (Leadbelly, Blind Willie Johnson, Bukka White, etc.) Bought it after becoming obsessed with the Allman Brothers Band!

He is the father of Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters... so He is the grandfather of Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Keith Richard ... A very honest man , never got rich from his music, he was a saint of the blues .
