I've seen Rick James twice and Teena Marie twice. 1st time when Rick came out with "Cold Blooded" and the 2nd time when he came out with "Glow". Saw Teena Marie when she came out with "Star Child" and "Naked to the World". Legends that have gone too early.
And trust me is was every bit a part of the Stone City Band as the rest of them were. From left to right: Levi Ruffin, Tom McDermontt, Danny LeMelle, Nate Hughes and LaMorris Payne....
POW!!! Where Punk meets Funk,...when many Freak(y), Bo$$, Dime$ got to flow

own $exxx Tape!!! LoL
These were some great guys. In 1983, right before their concert tour with Rick James, I was their personal trainer and used to go out to Rick's house every day to whip them into shape. They all welcomed me and became friends. I have a copy of this album on my wall that they all signed the day they left for their tour. Very cool.
Ahh. Just listening to this classic feel and vibe of Rick James. Just realized how much of a pimp Rick was. He produced and allowed his hard hitting rhythm section to drop a huge single, and sang lead on it. Who does that?! Lol.
