and lil stevie is banging on that PANAO, I PLAY THIS VERSION AND THEN I PLAY BB'S VERSION DIRECTLY BEHIND IT AND THE CROWD GOES WILD. DAMN I HATE THAT THE MARRIAGE OR RELATINSHIP DIDN'T WORK, I THOUGHT STEVIE AND SYREETA MADE A GREAT COUPLE
Syreeta's version (1972) was released before B.B. King's version (1973). Both versions are great. It was the first song that made me purchase this LP back in 1972, and is a cherished part of my LP collection. The cover photo is a masterpiece as well. It was released on the MoWest label, an imprint that Motown started for a while in the early 70s.
To know you, is to love you, but to know me,
is not that way you see
'Cause you make me, so happy,
that my love for you grows intensely
When I'm sad and feelin' down,
you always comfort me
When I'm sad and feelin' down,
you always comfort me
To know you is to love you, is to see you,
being free as the wind
'Cause the power, of your loving,
is to be strong to hold yourself within
When I'm down and feelin' sad,
you always comfort me
When I'm down and feelin' sad,
you always comfort me
To know you, is to love you, but to know me
is not that way you see
'Cause you make me, so happy,
that my love for you grows intensely
Baby, to know you is to love you
is to see you, being free as the wind
'Cause the power,...
