Hahahaha I like this cover version it is so funny how they turned a 50s rock'n'roll jive classic into an ultra laid back synth pop groove with the lead vocalist sitting back totally chilled out drinking a glass of water n reading a newspaper, so funny hahaha love it!!! I've heard quite a few of their songs n they are a great group, my favourite is "Moskow Diskow".

This edition of Top of the Pops is on Vimeo - presented by Jimmy Saville, no less. It was the 800th edition. Telex are nestled amongst ELO, Supertramp and Patrick Hernandez (followed by Cliff Richard and then The Police!). Ends with I Don't Like Mondays by the Boomtown Rats. Truly bizarre programme.
