remember seeing them in bristol england in a tiny venue around the time of their first album, and they were fantastic, i was an indie lad and i was totally impressed

It was 1983 and my friend asked me to go with her to see a new band playing at the Concert Factory in Costa Mesa, Ca. I said ok, let's go check them out. Admission was $5...it was the Bangles. I was 5 feet from the stage. Susanna Hoffs cast a spell on me that night, and their music continues to live on in me still to this day.

Saw them in concert last month. They are incredible and always have been. I can't believe this video doesn't have more likes.

I remember hearing this for the first time on Rodney Bingenheimer's Rodney on the ROQ (KROQ in L.A.), back in the day and thinking, "Damn, these girls are good." I really prefer their early 60's garage rock sound to the later pop synth sound.
