want him to know
Oh don t ever leave, oh don t ever leave The, please hear my plea
Want him to know, please hear my plea
Something for me i love him so, stick with me it would be fine, help do something
please hear my plea
That i don t ever want him to go, if you were mine The, if you were mine
if you-ou-ou-ou were mine
that i won t
If you-ou-ou-ou were mine, please hear my plea Plea, come back to me
If you were mine, something for me i love him so
Want him to go oh don t ever leave, that i won t, something for me i love him so
Stick with me it would be fine, help do something
If you were mine, stick with me life would be fine
Want him to know, that i won t
If you-ou-ou-ou were mine, please hear my plea, stick with me it would be fine
want him to know
if you were mine
stick with me it would be fine
And do something, want him to know
That i don t ever want him to go, stick with me life would be fine
Hey Monica - The Chantels are from The Bronx, not Brooklyn. St. Augustine's parish. Their name came from another Bronx parish - Our Lady of De Chantel where Arlene Smith had a basketball game and loved the church name. "The Plea" was an original by them and was covered by The Jesters - a Brooklyn group.
My God, if this song doesn't make you want to start holding your partner tighter, you've got an empty heart.
Some serious....serious.......soul being laid down here. Ladies and gents gettin' loose, wet and hard while dancing cheek to cheek to this, don'tcha know. Um um ummmm.
Its said that despite all the success of the early 60s girl groups like The Supremes, Vandellas, Marvelettes, Chiffons, Crystals and such that Arlene Smith (and the Chantels) were the best to ever do it. They were the trailblazers, knocking down doors for the others.
It was "Eileen", in my 8th grade graduating class....we danced, I swear my hands felt like an electric shock took place! She was so sweet and beautiful....but it was a passing fancy....but oh gawd it seemed so real....
Love this song!!!!
Don't ever leave
Baby, baby, baby, baby, stick with me
Life would be fine
Baby, baby, baby, if you were mine
Please hear my plea,
Come back to me,
I love you so.
Dear lord, please hear my plea
And do something, something for me
I love him so, want him to know
That I don't ever want him to go.
Oh don't ever leave
Baby, baby, baby, baby, stick with me
It would be fine
Baby, baby, baby, if you were mine.
Dear lord, please hear my plea
Help do something, something for me
I love him so, want him to know
That I won't, ever, want him to go
Oh don't ever leave
Baby, baby, baby, baby, stick with me
It would be fine
Baby, baby, baby, if you-ou-ou-ou were mine
Ooo-ooo-oo
