Rudolph the red nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw him you would even say it glows
All of the other reindeers used to laugh and call him names
They’d never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve Santa came to say
Rudolph with your nose so bright won’t you guide my sleigh tonight
Then how the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee
Rudolph the red nosed reindeer you’ll go down in history.

Bought this christmas cassette with Phil spectors greatest hits included separately from my local woolworths store in December 1982 ,and have loved these songs ever since.
The fact that Phil assembled his finest musicians and utilized all his production skills to make this album is phenomenal. This silly little song is just as wonderful as any Crystals song.
This is my favorite version of this song and in my opinion the best version out there. Phil Spector was way a head of his time in getting the sound he did out of mono recordings and Hal Blaine was instrumental in helping Phil achieve his iconic "Wall of Sound".
I love Christmas songs... Bring back the Christmas songs I say! 2010... My idea... have a vote on the best Christmas song and everyone has to then download it the week preceding the Christmas number 1 week so we can TRY and get it to number 1. What d'ya reckon?
