I left your mountain to try life on the road
Now I’m finished with that race it was much too fast a pace
And I think I know my place Colorado I wanna come home
There was a woman but I left her far behind
I could have loved her if I only had the time
But I stopped along the way just long enough to say
Lord I’d really really like to stay
But my lady knows I’ve got to go
I was too young to know what I’ve done
I made my plans but I was wrong yes I was wrong
Hey Colorado is it too late to change my mind
I’ve done some thinking and I’m trying hard to find
The way to come back home
Oh I’ve been so very long alone
Won’t you take care of your own Colorado I think I’m coming home
On a beautiful day like today this song really hits home, I never get tired of looking at the mountains and the pink and purple sky as the sun sinks down below them. Happy to call this home
as I watched this, and being a Colorado native, it it still amazes me of how much more there is to discover in my home state. I've been to about half these places pictured in the video and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of them plus more. There is no better venue to experience a concert then Red Rocks anywhere, fishing, skiing, hiking, pot is legal, the wildlife, and it's just freakin beautiful. If you've never been to Colorado, well, you need to make a visit... Thanks for sharing this video, it brought back a lot of memories of just hitting the road for a road trip and just driving wherever the road took us.
Good morning to those of you who are there. (one my favorite grab you by the vocal chords and screams SING ME SING ME DAMN YOU SSIIIIINNNNGGGG MMMMEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Raised in Aurora Colorado, graduated from Aurora Central High School 1976. Such a BEAUTIFUL place to live and grow, those Rocky Mountains fed my soul. I get back as often as I can because, no matter how long I am away, Colorado calls me home!
Thank You for this lovely video. I can't say what I like more: music or this beautiful pictures of Colorado. You made me very happy. Thanks again!
Love!
Ricky Roberts was and is an incredibly gifted musician and an old friend to Colorado. I appreciate his gift to music and his beautiful, melodious and thoughtful songs. I wish him the best and hope to hear him sing again on stage. Thanks treasured friend!

This is an incredible song! I love it! Can you also post ''Just Can't Be'' by the Flying Burrito Brothers also? I really like this phase of their musical career. The music was so magical.
This song brings back so many memories of the folk/country-singer songwriter days. Burrito's, American Flyer, Purple Sage...all good stuff. Now...pass me that doobie! ;-)
