Ah the 'Purple Hearts' ...... I remember doing a couple of support slots for them with the band I was playing for at the time 'Skavengers the'..one was at the Marquee Wardour Street I thought it was in the summer of 1980 or 81 but looking at the gig listings it might have been earlier as it does not fit with the gigs they did! I do remember thinking the Mod thing was over but hey the 'Purple Hearts' fans were in a que that went right down the street.The other was in Weymouth 24 Purple Hearts

I saw these guys at The Fiddlers Elbow, Camden the other friday St Georges day 23rd April 2010, at their album launch. They are still good thirty one years later.

The Purple Hearts are playing at The Underground Groove Weekender in Clacton on the 25th,26th and 27th March 2011. i remember purple hearts performing this on get it together i really liked the song when i first heard it i had the show myself on video and if i remember correctly they did the playout of the show with the credits rolling over to another song of theirs on the same show ,i used to love the dancers on get it together
