These musicians are way ahead of their time......HOW I WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN THEM
LIVE AND SO ANIMATED IN ACTION WITH EXCESSIVE ENERGY AND PERSONAL PASSION
Thank you for posting such great songs by the "Vanilla Fudge" they take me back to my teenage years and into my twenty's.
This was a great album to get stoned to. A pin head of Columbian and I was off for over an hour or two!!
This album would rip my head off my shoulders!!! WOW!!!!! Memories!!!
The personal passion of the Vanilla Fudge and their excessive energy must come from the
depths of their souls coupled with such creative intelligence! Saint Patrick
Tim Bogert's bass playing was so far ahead of it's time! No one I heard during that time came close. He definitely had a big influence on my bass playing!
I would love to hear him now. He sometimes plays a six string bass now. I switched to a five string in '96, and then to a six string in 2002. I also have an eight string bass, but haven't taken it out but a couple of times.
I was in Tokyo, Japan during a summer off from college when I was listening to this music - also the Moody Blues 'to our children's...' How's that for a mix of music and cultures? I was...out there.
This is my favorite song from this album, and was the second Vanilla Fudge song i ever put to disc!!!! someone help me here that is NOT Mark Stein singing but it also doesent sound like Carmine either who is singing????
in oh so many, many ways...free spirit...war...hope...despair...assassinations of some great people...boldness and fear...just one year in an incredible era...and what came out of it?
