The band had started as a Christian band but as time went on and new members had joined, it became less Christian. They consider themselves as now being a band of positive messages which sometimes, even today, involves Christianity in some way in their lyrics.

Their best album. Crushes every other. the sound, the lyrics. If only all their albums were like this.

why can't all of their albums sound like this? why can't every album from every band sound like this? damn it...

What is going on? The beginning is a calm song.. then I try to skip forward, it gets heavy, even at the beginning.

I think this album was great, but I would like to say that I'd hope their older albums wouldn't sound like this one. Personally, I love the evolution of the band, from the very beginning (when Eric still did vocals) to Dan's entrance all the way up to Funeral of God (which is my favorite). I do understand your point, definitely. I just think that Zao has grown a lot, culminating with their last three albums.
