Er war ein Britischer DJ, der 1995 gestorben ist. Returning to English, his career lasted from Radio Caroline in the 60s. He was hailed as a genius for his clever sounds on his radio shows. He also had many successful TV shows, and even a couple of hit records. I suspect the vast majority of Brits, and a good few others across mainland Europe, are more likely to have heard of Everett. ....and it was his radio audience that voted for Wunderbar, not Everett. Tschuess!

Never saw this. I'm grateful to see it and know that she did some performing later in her difficult life. She was badly treated and made a scapegoat by the guilty conscience of Germany, maybe because she was Swedish. After all Hans Moser, Heinz Ruhman, Paul Hörbiger and many, many others acted through the Nazi years and were never ostracised like poor Zarah. I 'discovered' Zarah Leander several years ago after searching for this song. What a find! What a voice! She is 65 in this rendition, no longer a youngster but still a beautiful woman and a hugely talented performer. Thank you for sharing.
