Here while the day is fading
Dear you I’m serenading
My love you’ve been evading
No wonder I am blue…
Oh listen to my pleading
Your nearness I am needing
It’s time that you were heeding
My offering to you…
We' Marie, we' Marie
Quanto sonno agiu perso per te
Famme' durmi
Una notte abbraciata cu te
We' Marie, we' Marie
Quanto sonno agiu perse per te
Famme' durmi, we' Marie, we' Marie.
We' Marie, we' Marie
Quanto sonno agiu perse per te
Famme' durmi, we' Marie, we' Marie!
My mother used to play these CDs in the car all the time with American Italian hits. Makes me feel cooler than all my friends who grew up on U2 and Aerosmith
The casual voice of Prima, the background singing, the inflections, the hilarious trading between Louis and Sam, Sam's killlllller solo, the rocking ride cymbal in the shout chorus, the random shouting in the background.. the dixieland revival at the end... man so much character and personality from both Louis and the band. It doesn't get better than this
I came here because in the late 60's and 70's every Italian house in Brooklyn, which is most houses, had this song playing while your gramma slaved for hours over the stove making sunday gravy for the pasta and some nice sausage and peppers.
