I grew up listening to the previous generation of renegade songwriters: John Prine, Jerry Jeff Walker, Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, etc. Todd Snider's music is new to me, but I have to say that he is up there with those guys. No question that he has songwriting skills and delivery to match.
