The most tender place in my heart is for strangers
I know it’s unkind but my own blood is much too dangerous
Hanging 'round the ceiling half the time
Hanging 'round the ceiling half the time
Compared to some I’ve been around
But I really did tried so hard
That echo chorus lied to me with its «Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on»
In the end I was the mean girl
Or somebody’s in-between girl
Now it’s the devil I love
And that’s as funny as real love
I leave the party at 3 A. M
Alone, thank God
With a valium from the bride
It’s the devil I love
It’s the devil I love
And that’s funny as real love
I finally got to see her live in concert last night in Houston and she was absolutely awesome! Band and back-up singers were also fantastic! She is one unique outstanding artist!!!
HOLD ON HOLD ON - this has become my mantra. No matter if this is sung in another circumstance here. I still love this song. Great times, great life, great memories. :hearts::hearts::hearts:
There's something about this song that takes me far back in time, to a place that's a long time ago and far away. Maybe it's the retro-sounding arrangements.
I was brought here unconventionally. I had asked my counselor for the suicide hotline to recommend me music to help me for after the chat ended, and this is what he suggested, saying this is his favorite artist and it helps him process his emotions. So Rowan, if you're out there, just know you truly did help me so much.
