R.I.P for all the innocent people around the world who lost their lives to this terrible virus. We all carry you in our hearts and minds and send you on your way with prays of godspeed to the sweet hereafter.
I felt a shiver I heard this, one of a Celt. I may be born English, but in reality, all English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish were born Brothers of our beloved isles, and yet brothers fight, yet in the end, we are the same blood, the same family, and the same people. We are the people of The Isles of Britain and Ireland, ruled over by Westminster, yet led by each other. I believe that one day, we will forget the borders and the wars and fights and unite as one people!
This is one of the most beautiful songs that I will ever have the privilege of hearing. For a man as hard as I try to appear emotionally, this song will always draw out the tears within me. British By Birth, British by right. I Love all 4 nations within My United Kingdom, And this song truly marks the respect we have for our dead, and make the sending away of our loved ones all the more beautiful. Thank You Scotland for this beautiful soul touching song. You Scots are some of the hardest B*stards I know, but this songs truly shows the compassion and love you chaps have. Richard. J
R.I.P mom, you would have been so proud of how far i have come, i love you always. You would have loved my kids and i play this as i know this used to be you favourite. Love you always and forever till we meet again xxx
Everytime I hear this song played on the pipes my eyes well up with tears and I feel like crying. The bagpipes are the most beautiful sound I could ever hear. My Grandfather was full scots. The Scottish blood coursing through my veins reacts when the pipes are played no matter what song it is. Amazing Grace was played at Grandpa Hicks's funeral. I love the sound they make.
The song is one of the most noted and beloved of all time. It continues to be added to and lives on. Written by a former slave ship captain who turned to fighting slavery, the song is about how amazed he was that the power of God could open his eyes to the horrors of slavery so much. It has become the song many think of those that have passed on.
As is often said, "To friends, loved ones and beloved companions, gone over but not forgotten. Wait for me lads, lasses and loyal animal companions for one day, I will come and join you once again where so shadows fall."
