One of the greatest entertainers the world has ever seen or will ever see again. Jolson put the roar into the roaring 20s for sure, charismatic, powerful and melancholy too, he could hold an audience in a trance, bring joy and laughter to any crowd and he knew how to charm them with his personality and smile. Jolson made things happen.Truly a genius.
Jolson was sued by Puccini (his publishers) for copyright infringement , they claimed it was very similar to "The Stars Shine Brightly". must admit I dont see it.
