I’ll always remember the song they were playing
The first time we danced and I knew
As we swayed to the music and held to each other
I fell in love with you
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
Would you be my partner, every night?
When we’re together it feels so right
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
I’ll always remember that magic moment
When I held you close to me As we moved together, I knew, forever
You’re all I’ll ever need
Refrain:
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
Would you be my partner every night?
When we’re together it feels so right
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
Refrain
I'll always remember the song they were playin'
The first time we danced and I knew
As we swayed to the music and held to each other
I fell in love with you
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
Would you be my partner every night?
When we're together it feels so right
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
I'll always remember that magic moment
When I held you close to me
As we moved together, I knew forever
You're all I'll ever need
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
Would you be my partner every night?

Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
It has been 24 years today, April 15 th, that you left me here on earth . This was our song and we danced to it every time we heard it. Now I dance alone....we will be together again someday. I miss you so much and love you forever.
Just to add a little more---I remember being in Hamilton, Montana when 'Snowbird' was on LP. My cousin Susan was given your record as a present from my other cousin DevRee. There you were on the front in this absolutely beautiful fur coat!! At thirteen years old, I was totally in love with you! Haha! At 48 I still am Ms. Murray. May God bless you as you have blessed the world.
Marvelous!!!,so manny memories come to my heart while hearing this song,oh God!!!.Is so wonderful, even if we suffer,to remember with our hearts and souls!!!
This was my parents favourite song. People frequently said they danced like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. People would just stand to the side and let my dad lead my mom around. When it was their 37th wedding anniversary my dad was at the end stage of his cancer but he got up and asked my mom if he could have this dance while Anne Murray sang in the background. Today would have been their 65th
My dad and mom were ballroom dancers(their hobby). He always danced with me to this song. I stood on his feet as he moved me around the room. Felt like flying. God is so good. love and blessings, julia
My husband proposed to me on the dance floor to this song. When he passed away I had it played at his funeral. He did have this dance for the rest of his life.I play it almost everyday. We loved each other and all of her songs.Lots of memories. Kay Wade
