I always thought this was a James Taylor recording. I didn't know it was 3 voices or that it included Art Garfunkel (much less that it's credited to him), but now that I listen, I can spot which parts are Paul Simon's voice. Anyway, I love it. It gives me chills. One of the instances where a remake was more effective than the original version.
For those wondering, the musicians are lead vocalist-acoustic guitarist Paul Simon; lead vocalists Art Garfunkel and James Taylor; backing vocalists Jay Clayton, Fred Farrell, Carol Flamm, Ed Hasselbrink, Shelley Hirsch, Alexandra Stavrou, and The Voice Group; choir performers The Oklahoma Baptist University Chorale directed by James D. Woodward with assistance from Richard Greenberg; electric guitarist Hugh McCracken; bassist Tony Levin; drummers Steve Gadd and Rick Shlosser; cymbal player Craig Krampf; handclapper Thomas La Tondre; percussionist Ralph MacDonald; and electric pianist Richard Tee.
