Friends say to take it easy
I won’t and they wonder why
I can’t give up thaht easy
Lay me down and die
Sat where it’s cool and shady
Could age take the taste away
I met a widow lady
Couldn’t waste a day
That was my Indian Summer
That was my Indian Summer
She said she’d lost her husband
I told her I’d lost my wife
Those years together had been the best of my whole life
Friends say we ought to marry
I smile and I shake my head
One wife will make you happy
Two will make you dead
brought trhis single when first released paper cover one track either side my friend got it 2 weeks later picture cover 2 tracks on b side. brought the cd for this track but still got ripped off again although advertised it wasn't there. I wont buy anything else by them

GREAT VOCALS, UNIQUE MUSIC, INTERESTING LYRICS!!! I 'VE BEEN A FAN FOR
50 YEARS NOW!!! WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN THEM IN CONCERT!!!
Wouldn't have worked. Werth is no Morrison and by the same equal or maybe more so token, Morrison was no Werth. Glad things stayed sane and where they were and will always live in my head.
Back when this album came out WMMR in Philadelphia ("the radio station") used to play house on the hill and indian summer. Went out and bought the lp, of course!
