AZ is criminally underrated. Really surprising he isn't more popular considering he's the only feature on one of best regarded hip hop albums of all time. It's understandable that he isn't mainstream, but way too many hip hop heads are sleeping on him.

Nas is my favorite all-time MC but i always gave AZ the slight edge on this track ...this track is like the brooklyn queensbridge version of brooklyns finest Jay-Z and Biggie

AZ sampled from The O'Jays's song, "Cry Together".

my favorite part of the song is the hidden track at the very end: all alone in this wilderness, who could figure life is ill as this, my visions blurred from guerilla's mist... rappers don't write rhymes like this anymore

This is so perfect that I'm honestly about to come to tears. Hip hop in its absolute, most purest form imaginable.

Man, Nas and AZ brought the best out of each other! I miss the days where you had to actually deliver BARS on a track! I remember as a teen walking into a music store with my LAST $15 and being in there almost 2 hours trying to decide who to buy. Today, I might have a few hundred on me and don't wanna buy any of this bullshit out now.
