Too jarring in parts which takes away from the subtle message of the song and melody. As for me and my house - best vocal version is by Andy Williams. Best instrumental version - ??? Mantovani? Roger Williams?.... By the way my brother was in Hong Kong in the eighties and said the "high on a windy hill" was trashed with condos.

Good stuff! I came here to play it and when I did I remembered that I have this on an old Metro label LP...hmmm..I think. some of the parts do not sound familiar. Oh, well.still good!

Anybody here know of an instrumental recording similar to the "orchestral instrumental" style conducted by Wladimir Selinsky in the early months of the CBS soap "Love is a Many Splendored Thing"... (you can hear a known copy of Selinsky's arrangement on /watch?v=9iZsaDlt5Rk)
