I always thought on first impression the lyrics were catered more towards adult entertainers, largely women in escort/prostitution roles--this could be a metaphor for just that. Objectively, the video matches up to the words I hear: the main objective is to be something everyone would want to invest in and flourish about; however, with that level of expectation comes pressure--hence the anxiety to please--and please, which is never enough in our society, leads to collapse and hell breaking loose on all parties involved.
