I saw him twice; he got pissed at the audience for applauding each year, but the second year, he was kidding just to prod the crowd, and he was smiling and laughing. Damn he was good. How were we supposed to not go nuts? Folks seem to have forgotten what a tremendous songwriter and performer he was. He dominated when I was in college, and we played his stuff nonstop.
