Love this!! It takes me back to my early teens. Around the same time as Arthur Conlye's 'Sweet Soul Music'. It's a shame they don't make music like this any more.
I loved all Joe Tex songs, I often called him "The Preacher Man" cause he always had some advice or anecdote in his songs. Miss him, he was very talented. I am listening to this in 2019.
My goodness, this takes me back to dancing at The Blue Note, Gore Street, Manchester in 1967 with my school friend, Sheila Bell. It was just so easy to dance to and still sounds great, very Northern Soul. I have the well worn single in my loft along with his other classic "Ain't gonna bump no more with no big fat woman" from the Seventies. Happy days...
Loved dancing to this at alniters, all dayers so soul nites and weekenders. That was many years ago but I still can dance abd do when Im cleaning and cooking. Still keeping the faith at 53. Love D.
