This first single, and the subsequent ones attributed to "Kenny" are not even the same band.  This one is basically a guy called Tony Kenny with some session players.  The other "Kenny" singles do not feature Tony Kenny at all, but instead feature a band previously called Chuff, who were "rebranded" as Kenny, despite the fact that they didn't sound anything like Tony Kenny........Marketing 1, Music 0

When I first heard that falsetto voice, circa 1972, I thought it was the latest single from Middle of the Road I believe the RAK yacht sunk, it belonged to Mickey Most

This is actually the Irish singer Tony Kenny - he released a second single, "Give It To Me Now" in 1973, also under the name Kenny, and then returned to Ireland to begin a successful career in cabaret. Bill Martin & Phil Coulter then recruited five other guys and named the group Kenny - they had a number of hits such as "Fancy Pants" & "The Bump" but they were actually a completely different entity.

Funny that Bill Martin's name is listed first! He was just the business man and Phil Coulter did all the writing and producing! It should be at least alphabetical. Phil did all the work, musically speaking.

This song was actually by an Irish showband singer called Tony Kenny and was composed by Irish composer Phil Coulter with Bill Martin. Tony Kenny decided that this was just a one-off, but Coulter/Martin continued to write for the group which became known as Kenny, minus Tony Kenny. The Coulter/Martin songwriting partnership was also responsible for Midge Ure and Slick, The Bay City Rollers, They even wrote the Scottish World Cup Song, Easy. All these songs sounded identical. Tony Kenny went on to star in many Stage musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Tecnicolour Dreamcoat.

From a few comments some seem to be mistaking Kenny who sang this with the group Kenny

It's a got a bit of Gary Glitter about it:  the tribal drumming (Hello, Hello, Good to be Back) and the saxes of course....

This is one of the first singles I bought back then. I also liked the B side buttons.. did they ever produce an album..even though I'm 62 I'd still buy it.
