This group should get credit for discovering two great singers: Helen Baylor (the singer behind this) and Miki Howard.

Fact is, in 1976, the female vocalist for Side Effect was Helen Lowe (later to be known as Helen Baylor) who joined when Sylvia Nabors left. Sylvia St. James didn't join S.E. until 1977. Her debut release with the band was their "Goin' Bananas" LP. St. James recorded one more album with them then left the band in 1979 to pursue a solo career. Miki Howard was her replacement (she left in 1985).

Man we had the Army bases and the German clubs rocking on this one .It was so much fun , and what a great experience. Side Effect did Ronnie Laws Classic justice, for real ....PEACE
