This is creativity on another level. Wake them up Spice, wake them up. I love the direction your are taking your music now, stay on the track. International to the world.
The song is just simple saying that there are some men celebs in the dancehall thats not as versatile as the females....... She's not promoting lesbians..... She just saying women deserve more ratings in the dancehall industry.
When me click the link neva did a expect this at all but spice Dis Baad!!! Ratings buckkk!! how me fi rate you more tho & u ratings to the max from morning?
Spice's critique on heteropatriarchy and overt sexism in dancehall should encourage a critique that extends beyond Jamaican dancehall artist copying US R&B artist. What she has done is not only to highlight sexism within dancehall but she has also showcased her versatility and capability to clash any dancehall artist--male or female. Plus, I think it is highly hypocritical for you all to be so quick and willing to call out JA artists for being inspired (not copy) from overseas artist when the likes of Usher, Beyoncé, Ciara and so many other has historically stolen from our cultural expression--dancehall--and you all remain silent!! Go jump inna unuh rass claat muma and go critique dem people deh and low we alone unnuh ole uncle bloodclaat Sam/Sammesha's.
The song has nothing to do with copying ciara.....its about how female aritist in Jamaica don't get enough ratings/attenition as the male artists.....people jus pick, pick, pick ....
I think if u don't like something keep ur negitive comments to ur self.....build a person instead of breaking them down
I agree
Plus now I know that spice is very lyrical and the content of her lyrics has meanings
Controversy in ma class
Causing big discussion and debate for gender in society
