This guy is phenomenal. I've had the priviledge of seeing him live on a few occasions and even meeting him once. He's the most unassuming guy, so nice and down to earth for a guy with such an amazing talent. This was a great vid.
He comes from near Leominster, Herefordshire England... right in the middle of some very beautiful countryside, in the most uninhabited county in England....I can assure you he is very much a country boy.
When I first heard Albert Lee play, I thought "well since he chicken picks this damn good, he must be another American player and lives in Nashville. Nope, he's a Brit like Jeff Beck and Keith Richards, but holy shit, he can play that fluid. Respect !
How the hell? I just watched him do this for a concert on the tv and my frame rate couldn't keep up with his hands! Damn, this sure beats the wind out of the metalheads, Albert Lee rules!
What the f----------k how can anyone play like that.
Eric Clapton rates this guy as the best guitarist in the world. Just press the go button if you want to know why!
He was awesome with The Everly Bros and so were they. I saw them live and felt like I'd just been transported to another planet for the evening, they had to do three encores and the crowd went mental when it was all over.
