Somehow Desplat's scores make me feel I'm experiencing a story. They have a whimsical atmosphere that sweeps me off my feet. Soundtracks like this really inspire me

Do I need to watch this movie? It has been on my shelf for years. Never got around to it.

While there are certainly better movies than TGBH, even though it is a masterpiece, it is the most watchable movie I've ever seen. I've seen this movie almost 30 times now and it never gets old.

"There are still faint glimmers of civilisation left in this barbaric slaughterhouse that was once known as humanity."   Something we need to remind ourselves of every once in a while. Especially in times when so much senseless killing is happening, be it in Ukraine, the Middle East or elsewhere. It's not all there is.
