Lyrics
Well, I've got to run to keep from hiding
And I'm bound to keep on riding
And I've got one more silver dollar
But I'm not gonna let them catch me, no
Not gonna let 'em catch the midnight rider
And I don't own the clothes I'm wearing
And the road goes on forever
And I've got one more silver dollar
But I'm not gonna let them catch me, no
Not gonna let 'em catch the midnight rider
And I've gone by the point of caring
Some old bed I'll soon be sharing
And I've got one more silver dollar
But I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider
No I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider
No, I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no
I'm not gonna let them catch the midnight rider
But I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider

I was on life support in the Intensive Care Unit. They listen to music in the ICU, this song came on and I woke up. My feet were kicking like playing my drums. Great Song.
Just watched "The Devils Rejects" with this song and had to check it out.
Knew I had heard the song before, but that was a later version by Paul Davidson.
After working a 12 hour shift for the railroad, in northern Wyoming back in the 70's, the only thing to do was smoke some joints, drink that case of beer and jam to Allman bros.
