I have watched this group develop over the past several years, and I get this wonderful feeling they on the edge of something huge, and things go silent...which I have difficulty understanding...? I thought their last self titled album "Augustans" was exceptional in every way, they had the songwriting strength of Radiohead, the lyrical soaring romanticism of Coldplay, and were destined to rise higher than ever before, yet fans mocked these tremendously strong songs and sort of gave Augustana the cold shoulder whilst they were at the zenith of their performing skills. Now this incredible album walks into my life and I see them in a new and even better light, and I'm wondering how much more do listeners need to hear before they, like me, see the "True Greatness in this Southern California Band called Augustana"

An old friend of mine from high school took his own life Monday and I didn't find out until late Monday night. All day yesterday, all I could think about was how horrible this was and I just wanted so badly to know why he did it, and if he realized how much everyone cared about him. I cried and cried, thinking of his son, his wife, his parents, and his best friend. I cried thinking about how I never got to tell him about the crazy dream I had a month ago that he was in, that inspired me to start writing stories again. It had me really messed up yesterday, but then on the way home, I clicked on one of those "made for you" playlist on spotify, set it to shuffle, and this song was the first to come on. It gave me a little peace of mind. Maybe it had nothing to do with him at all, but it really did put my mind at ease.
