Back, for yet another listen to this gorgeous single, from this wonderful band. The 1975 can only dream of being this good! Man, the bass in this is just perfect. And the keys? Awesome stuff. Oh,. and my wife Tarnia says Hi to Josh and Charlie, nice to meet you at Pear Mill! (She was talking about James Skelly).
[Verse 1]
I made my wish a rose
Covered in old spangles, beside
A river froze, Felicia I miss you
[Chorus]
The stately homes of England
How beautiful they stand
Lately it's a lonely love I know
Blown rose, go
[Verse 2]
I made my wish a rose
Wrapped in desire, she cries
'let me know', Felicia where are you?
[Chorus]
The stately homes of England
How beautiful they stand
Lately it's a lonely love I know
Blown rose, go
[Bridge]
I'm aching with you
We're breaking, I plead
Don't go easily my love
Felicia
[Chorus]
The stately homes of England
How beautiful they stand
Lately it's a lonely love I know
Blown rose, go
[Outro]
You say you don't feel it like I do
I'm so lost when
You say you don't feel it like I do
Crawl into my heart...
Blown rose...
Blown rose...
Blown rose...
Blown rose...
I just want to say that this band will make it huge, I seriously think they can be in 30 years for example what Acdc, guns n Roses, are today for us. I've heard all of them songs that can be found on the Internet, I see pretty much talent. I think they'll be the "classics" super famous band from a little town (they're are from stockport) in the future. And I prefer the old video of this song, it's super retro/hipster and homemade but really good. It can be a classic of this band in some years.
This is actually an advertisement for the new Blossoms perfume, Blown Rose, modelled by the lovely lady from 0:57 to 0:59
