I love the way he sounds. I also like the frank expression of a culture —— we normally associate it with black culture, but I see it more likened to “ghetto” culture.
This culture is not defined by race, but by socioeconomic groupings. There are certain flavors of this that are definitely black, but that is just a flavor, not its base. I also feel that that intelligent rappers are not looking to distinguish and separate themselves as black, but instead just make everyone understand that their lives are the same as everyone elses. This moves more toward empathy as opposed to separatism, which is a root cause of hostility for groups of people.
