I'm Stefanie, age 12, and delighted to be learning more about, and listening to, the music of Christopher Cross. I was in the USA at age 9, and that's when I first heard 'Long World.' I shall tell you what happened. I was there with a relative. We got a little lost. Eventually, we saw a few official-looking people up ahead. We were told, "Hey, you can't come this way right now." And in a kind of field area, we saw what was clearly an alien-looking being upon its back, with 1 of its hands stretched out, as if it had been trying to reach for something after what 1 of the official-looking guys described as "an unplanned landing." If you've ever doubted that aliens and mysterious beings exist. Don't. I cannot say anymore about this. Ain't even gonna name the State. But, in terms of a song being truly evocative, 'Long World,' for me, forever will remind me of that unusual scene. It was on a CD during the car journey outa' there.
