Back in the 80's I was buying smooth jazz in vinyl and cassettes. Got hooked on Chuck and Grover and George Benson, etc. I was getting all I can put my hands on from Chuck. I remember the next album after this, wasn't the same feeling. So that I can't remember it's name but it's gotta be somewhere in my box of old vinyls.
Today in St. Louis is Sunday, it rainy and overcast. The coffee and the morning sativa
are working nicely together. Just sitting on the porch enjoying
this fine tune meant to help commiserate the absence of a love not present. I, thanks to GOD'S good graces have a wonderful woman in my bed, snoring her fine ass off that's mine and the no one else's, and as i take another pull on the morning J, i smile contently and am thankful for everything, the good and the not so good. What a great piece of studio work this is. i an almost see in my mind's eye the smiles of these musicians as they lay down their tracks and fills. AND to top all this off, JESUS L♡VES ME!
It makes my heart smile knowing that people much younger than I can appreciated this type of music. He played in Austin, Tx in 1977 and they played this song for the first time. It has been a favorite since.
this song takes me back to my child hood the first time I ever heard it my parents was heavy into jazz. always like this song first time I heard it was during the winter Olympics.....
