Country Joe & The Fish - The Masked Marauder download song

We used to hear this on Tom Donahue's[R.I.P.] program on KMPX in San Francisco in 1967.One of the best albums from this time period.

Every time I hear this song I think of a song from Caravan's In the Land of Grey and Pink ("Winter Wine" I think). Anyone else think the two songs sound similar? At least the very first part makes me draw a comparison.

Joe McDonald is a incredible poet and the music and arrangements of the band are incredible, you can just drift away.

Magical album. Hooked since seeing Monterey pop film aged 16. Thought I'd long missed it but was overjoyed to see them in Glasgow in 2004 sounding the same and looking very similar and having a beer with them afterwards.
