Hey you, big star
Tell me when it's over
Cloud
Hey you, big mood
Guide me to shelter
'Cause I'm through when the two
Hits the six and it's summer
Cloud
LYRICS
Hey you, big star
Tell me when it's over
Hey you, big mood, guide me to shelter
'Cause I'm through
When the two hits the six and it's summer
Cloud, come (shove it, shove it, shove it)
Shove (shove it, shove it, shove it)
The sun (shove it, shove it, shove it)
Aside (shove it aside)
I think god is moving its tongue
There's no crowd in the streets
And no sun in my own summer
The shade is a tool, a device, a savior
See, I try and look up to the sky
But my eyes burn
Cloud, come (shove it, shove it, shove it)
Shove (shove it, shove it, shove it)
The sun (shove it, shove it, shove it)
Aside (shove it aside)
Cloud, come (shove it, shove it, shove it)
Shove (shove it, shove it, shove it)
The sun (shove it, shove it, shove it)
Aside (shove it aside)
I think god is moving its tongue
There are no crowds in the streets and no sun in my own summer
Come (shove it, shove it, shove it)
Shove (shove it, shove it, shove it)
The sun (shove it, shove it, shove it)
Aside (shove it aside)
Enjoy
I know this feeling he is talking about. When you are depressed, the winter feels like home and when the spring and summer come around it feels so weird because the outside environment doesn't match your insides. All the extroverts and happy people are out and bustling about and visible in the streets and such. And you just walk or drive by them feeling so disconnected from it all. I am not depressed now (quite content, in fact), but I was once. It wasn't clinical...but it was enough to where I totally get this and I get this emotion so well. Now I am ok with the spring/summer, whether I have people in my life or not :) I quite enjoy the warmth and warm weather.
One of my favorite memories has this song in it. It was winter of 2005, me and a bunch of people were having a bonfire out in the woods and I was just kind of leaning against the grille of my truck alone away from the crowd around the fire and had this song playing on one of my mixtape CDs. I was singing along kinda mouthing the words and a girl came up to me from the rest of the people and asked why I was away from the people and i said cause i like to listen to good music and dont really wanna be here. She asked if I didnt wanna be here whyd I come and I said cause you cant turn down free alcohol. She said she liked the song I was listening to and we kinda stood there getting to know each other for the next hour. Long story short I met my wife through deftones.
