Del Shannon - Runaway '67 download song

Bought this on the album "And The Music Plays On" in the seventies and loved all of it. I still love the original and The Live In England version too.

I love the original, that was the version I grew up with. However, this is excellent.

Almost maybe even better than the1961 version

Holy cow, I never knew about this version.

This is really quite good and the slower tempo works fine. The Spanish-style guitar riffs are very effective, and are reminiscent of those in the later "Hotel California." But wow, do I miss the Musitron solo.

I had this version on an EP and came to love it as much as the original faster version. It is a monumental song and Del delivers it with such passion.

I like this version... It seems to be in the right tempo, not so fast as many standards from the late 50's and early 60's were. The original and this one look like a diamond, before and after polishing.

Great to finally find this again. Thanks for putting it up. This is possibly my favourite version of the song. My band used to do half of this and then half of the original.

Sad this version wasn't appreciated in 1967 excepting Australia where it made the Top 20. Anyone who thinks the single sounds good really needs to hear an album hifi stereo version played loud.
