There's also the ghetto version, "I'm gonna want you, fool!"

it's even better than Sinatra's vocal version, how close Dexter's saxophone playing gets to the human voice and exceeds it!

I saw Dexter at a concert in Rutgers University. He seemed to have had a bit too much to drink but he was still a star.

Bittersweet, poignant, majestic, deeply moving; Dexter's playing could melt the heart of a statue, and what superlative company he keeps here.

This is inspiring. Makes me want to write a script for a dark movie. "There she was, all dressed in pink. Standing in a crowd like she never belonged to one. Every little detail spelled trouble. But why couldn't I stop looking? The moment you saw her, it was already too late."

I saw him in 1978 at the Berklee Performance Center. I was a student there and my work study job was the Friends Lounge as a bartender. He came in before the show, was quiet and cool. Did not ask for anything. Then nailed the gig. Deep tone. Cool player.
